Exodus Exodus 15:1-21
Israel's first hymn — the warrior named, the incomparable God, the first proclamation of his eternal reign — sung at the Red Sea and again, at the end, by the redeemed beside the sea of glass.
Exodus Exodus 14:15-31
The crossing is creation re-enacted — the Spirit-wind over the waters, the sea split, the dry land appearing — and out of it comes the nation's first corporate faith: the people feared YHWH and believed, the only verse in the canon to join those two words.
Exodus Exodus 14:1-14

Exodus Exodus 13:1-22
The pillar is one Presence doing two things at once — going before the people to lead them, and never departing from before them; the guiding God and the abiding God are the same God, all the way to the city that needs no pillar because the Lamb is its light.
Exodus Exodus 12:21-51

Exodus Exodus 12:1-20
The blood goes on the outside of the door, where the family inside cannot see it — because it is a sign for God to read; and the verb the feast is named for does not mean to skip but to shelter, YHWH himself hovering over the marked house while the destroyer passes through Egypt.
